Four teachers who had each taught alone around Thamel pooled their savings to rent one bright floor above a bookshop, so none of them had to keep chasing studio hours. They named it a collective because that is how it runs: shared rent, shared students, and a teacher-training course each of them helped write. The mat racks are still hand-built from local timber.
