Who we are

NepalRetreat is a Nepal-based platform that connects international travellers with independent, verified retreat operators in Pokhara and the Kathmandu Valley. Each retreat is run by the operator who lists it, not by NepalRetreat.

What NepalRetreat does

We help you discover retreats we have verified in person, and we handle the card deposit that secures your dates. The retreat contract for your stay is between you and the operator. NepalRetreat facilitates the introduction, the verification, and the deposit payment; it is not the provider of the retreat itself.

Bookings, deposits and balances

Retreats are requested to book. You are charged nothing until the operator confirms your dates. Once confirmed, you pay a deposit by card; the deposit is NepalRetreat's platform commission. The remaining balance is paid directly to the operator on arrival. NepalRetreat never holds the operator's balance. See how booking works for the full flow.

Cancellations and refunds

Each listing shows its cancellation policy in plain language before you pay. Refunds apply to the deposit and follow that policy; the balance is only ever paid on arrival, so there is nothing else to return. The full policy, with worked examples, is on our refund and cancellation policy page.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your sign-in credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Operators and verification

Operators are independent businesses, responsible for the accuracy of their listings and for delivering the retreats they offer. Our verification is a good-faith, in-person check of the operator and venue; it is not a guarantee of any particular outcome.

Payments

Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. NepalRetreat does not store your full card details. By paying a deposit you authorise that charge for the booking you have selected.

Acceptable use

Please use the site only for genuine retreat discovery and booking. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, gain unauthorised access, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

Liability and governing law

The terms covering warranties, limitation of liability, dispute resolution and governing law are being finalised with legal review and will appear here.
