Refund & Cancellation Policy: Plain Language

No jargon. Here is exactly what happens to your money if plans change, with worked examples in the currency you're charged in.

The one rule that matters most

If an operator can't confirm your dates, you pay nothing: there is no charge before confirmation. And if an operator cancels after you've paid, your full deposit comes back automatically.

If you cancel

Each retreat shows its cancellation policy before you book. Most use one of these two. Refunds apply to the deposit; the balance is only ever paid on arrival, so there is nothing else to return.

Standard 30-day

Worked on a $69 deposit (a $460 retreat). Guest-initiated cancellations:

  • 45 days before arrival$69 back (100%)
  • 20 days before arrival$34.50 back (50%)
  • 5 days before arrival$0 back (0%)

Flexible 14-day

Worked on a $69 deposit (a $460 retreat). Guest-initiated cancellations:

  • 45 days before arrival$69 back (100%)
  • 20 days before arrival$69 back (100%)
  • 5 days before arrival$0 back (0%)

Common questions

What if the operator can't confirm my dates?

You pay nothing. No charge is ever made before confirmation, so there is nothing to refund. Any hold on the dates is released automatically.

What if the operator cancels after I've paid?

You receive a full refund of your deposit, automatically: no forms and no waiting. We also help you find an alternative retreat.

How long does a refund take?

Refunds are processed immediately on our side and typically appear in your account within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

How do I cancel a booking?

You can cancel from your booking page. The refund follows the listing's cancellation policy, shown in plain language on every retreat before you pay.

This policy sits behind every booking. See how booking works and browse verified retreats.
