22-Day 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Kathmandu

Kathmandu · Thamel · 22 days

from $1,480
deposit $222 now

Overview

Kathmandu Yoga Collective runs this foundational 200-hour teacher training from its studio near Thamel. It follows the Yoga Alliance five-area curriculum and prepares you to register as an RYT-200 and teach.

The course leans toward a vinyasa base while covering the full syllabus: technique and practice, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, philosophy and ethics, and a supervised practicum. Because several teachers share the training, you learn from more than one voice and style.

Trainees stay at the studio's residence within walking distance of the Thamel guesthouses, with three vegetarian meals a day including dal bhat. The pace is full but includes a weekly rest day to explore the temples and old streets of Kathmandu.

From our visit (April 2026)
Sita: “Because it is a collective, you get taught by several teachers, which I liked; you are not stuck with one style for three weeks. I watched a sequencing class and read the manual, and both hit the Yoga Alliance areas. Being in Thamel means the temples and cafes are on your doorstep for the rest day.
