5-Day Poon Hill Yoga Trek

Pokhara · Ghorepani · 5 days

from $940
deposit $94 now

Overview

A yoga trek is a guided multi-day trek in Nepal that includes scheduled daily yoga and meditation. This five-day journey is the gentler of Nepal's classic routes, climbing from the Pokhara foothills to the Poon Hill viewpoint at 3,210 metres for one of the finest sunrises in the region.

Mornings open with mobility yoga to prepare for the day's walk, and evenings close with restorative practice and breathwork at the teahouse. A licensed guide leads the group with the required ACAP permit and TIMS arrangements, and the moderate walking days make this a good first Himalayan trek.

You stay in teahouse lodges and eat hearty local meals, including dal bhat. Because the high point is 3,210 metres, the altitude is manageable for most reasonably active walkers, though a good level of everyday fitness helps you enjoy it.

From our visit (May 2026)
Aarav: “This is the one I send people to for a first Himalayan trek. I did the Poon Hill sunrise with the team; the stone-staircase day is the hard part but it is over quickly. Morning yoga at the teahouse loosens everyone up. At 3,210 metres the altitude stays comfortable for most walkers.
